Eye of the Storm

Eye of the Storm
EM-5, 9-18 mm, f4, ISO 200, 1/2000s

This is another shot from my trip to London, England earlier this year. It was my first time in London and my trip lasted just one day. So I tried to see as much as possible starting with a ride in the London Eye right at the Westminster Bridge. Fortunately I bought a ticket online and skiped the line and did not lose much time waiting for the ride.

It took 30 minutes and the view at the top was amazing as you can see on the picture. You get a good sense just how big London is. I was able to catch some good shots up there but the relfection of the other people in the glass is distracting on some shots.

Crossing the Millenium

This picture was shot on my trip to London in May this year. I just has the saturday in London and had a pretty full shedule since I wanted to see as much as possible of this beautiful city. After a hop-on/hop-off bus tour I walked along the River Thamse equipped with my EM-5 and the 75mm. The lens is not the first lens coming to mind when thinking about street photography but I wanted to capture some shots from a distance, influencing the scenery as less as possible. Then I saw the Millenium Bridge and I really like the structure. The skyline of London’s Southwark district added another layer to this shot.
